My weekly Sunday Snapshot blog gives me an opportunity to look back on my sleeper picks from the past week and rate their performance.
Aramis Ramirez
I recommended Ramirez amid his second half resurgence. The Cubs slugger went on to hit .360 on the week while adding five runs, four home runs and 10 RBI's. Ramirez is back. Look for him to be a must-start option from here on out. If an owner in your league has not realized his value, attempt to trade for him immediately. Ramirez should more than make up for his slow start to the season.
Johnny Damon
I saw Damon as a viable option within a struggling Tigers offense. He rewarded owners by hitting .333 on the week. He added little more, just three runs and an RBI, but he is well on his way to a solid second half. Damon should be a viable option in most mixed formats, especially those which start five outfielders.
Alex Gonzalez
Though my other sleepers performed well, Gonzalez was the most intriguing option for me last week. He hit .370 on the period with two runs and two RBI's. Most importantly, Gonzalez is my starting middle infielder, so I personally benefitted from his performance. The shortstop exchange between Atlanta and Toronto seems to be doing wonders for both parties.
